Sun, 13:15: Lunch break. Grabbed sandwiches from special grab-n-go area for event. Bad setup--3 lines, 2 of them had to cut thru other after paying
Sun, 13:16: K then went to meet up with Shannon to give her more pins bought in the pop-up shop, I wandered.
Sun, 13:17: Checked out 'concept bus' for transport--lightly themed interior, sound and light system for effects like birthday wishes, Halloween party.
Sun, 13:18: Quick tour of Disney archives exhibit, photos and a few memorabilia of Walt Disney.
Sun, 13:20: Then wandered doing some Pokémon inside and outside the Contemporary.
Sun, 14:10: Afternoon session begins with talk on Marc Davis, legendary Disney animator.
Sun, 14:20: Marc Davis moved to become an Imagineer, worked on Jungle Cruise among others.
Sun, 16:09: Great session on Pirates of the Caribbean rides, heavy on the superb Shanghai version.
Sun, 17:02: Short session on studies done to see how animals would be affected by extension of Animal Kingdom into night hours.
Sun, 17:03: Ending session is an hour for Joe Rohde to talk about development and philosophy of Animal Kingdom--absolutely wonderful.

Sat, 16:44: More on Adventureland after lunch, then on history of the Polynesian Resort. Quick lesson on the hula, then into a talk by writer of Moana
Sat, 23:24: Radio silence this evening because no phones/electronics allowed at advance showing of Moana, so left at hotel.
Sat, 23:26: Moana viewing held on beach of the Poly, had chairs set up but in deep sand so hard to get in and out of rows.
Sat, 23:28: Saw many trailers for upcoming movies, the the short "Inner Workings", then Moana. Very good, want to see it again, will buy soundtrack.
Sat, 23:30: Met up with Corey and 2 others in lobby after the film to trade pins--he had 2 Kevin pins I wanted, for spares I bought at this event.
Sat, 23:31: Back to GF after 11.
Sun, 09:12: Off this morning at 8, to Contemporary by monorail First talk is on Disney maps by authors of new book. Must add to my Amazon wish list
Sun, 09:27: Next segment is show director who put Jingle Bell Jingle BAM! together. Showing a recording of show, with commentary
Sun, 09:32: Glitter snow turns out to be serendipity--artificial snow contains mylar bits, when they have snow and lasers get glitter.
Sun, 09:43: Next, guy that worked on development of the new Frozen ride and meet-n-greet area at Epcot

Fri, 17:09: We emerged from the shop around 4:30, found the people we were chatting with in line for instant pin swapping in the corridor.
Fri, 17:11: Most was trying to get full set of mystery box 12 Days of Christmas, were only allowed to buy 12. Most items had a limit of 1.
Fri, 17:13: Are monorailing to GF, will put away pins, K will sort out the pins she bought for S, then we'll head to MK Xmas Party to meet S.
Fri, 18:11: Off to the Magic Kingdom for Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party via boat--dock is near our bldg. Stops at the Polynesian first then to MK.
Fri, 18:46: Easy entry to the park w our party tickets on our MagicBands. Got party wristbands, headed to Plaza Restaurant, got a table after 5 min wait

Fri, 21:54: Passed by the lines for character greetings early on, too long for the unusual characters. Got sugar cookies for a treat.

Thu, 17:26: I was out early for AWRA, gave my talk at the second morning session. Went well, several good questions.
Thu, 17:27: Mindi needed to talk to me, went w me to GF and we got lunch at GF Cafe, very good.
Thu, 17:29: Mindi left, found Krissi and our pin-trading friend Debbie who were hanging out and arranging a pin trade continued from August.
Thu, 17:31: We got Debbie a ticket to the Studios desert party via the GF concierge last night, so after pin trading we piled in her car for that.
Thu, 17:33: Got to Studios in good time to check in for party, which includes the Christmas projection show special viewing area.
Thu, 17:39: And the party has started, got a gingerbread martini as we entered. Snagged a sit-down table as those are limited, will take turns at food

Tue, 17:43: After my day at AWRA, returned to hotel and worked on my PowerPoint. K also working. We're now off by bus to Disney Springs.
Tue, 17:44: Will meet Mindi there, have 7 pm reservation at Art Smiths Homecoming.
Tue, 17:45: K has done lots of planning, will meet Shannon on Thursday for brunch at 1900 Park Faire--character meal at Gr Floridian restaurant

Mon, 18:03: Left the room at 7 this morning to head to the Florida Hotel for the AWRA conference. Smooth registration, caught the Plenary session
Mon, 18:19: Saw Dave Blodgett at morning break, Mindi texted that she would arrive before lunch, after her conf calls
Mon, 18:20: Lunch w Mindi at La Madeline in the mall attached to hotel, or maybe the mall the hotel is attached to.
Mon, 18:20: Good afternoon session with talks on interbasin transfer inventory and water dispute mediation.
Mon, 18:21: Skipped later afternoon session and drove back to resort. K had breakfast at Kona Cafe, got some work done too.
Mon, 18:22: Off by monorail to Epcot, will see how long lines are for last night of Food and Wine.
Mon, 18:23: Hawaii booth too long line, tried Canada but aborted when they announced were out of pretzel bread for the cheese soup.
Mon, 18:23: Finally got salmon on potato pancake at Scotland.
Mon, 18:55: Bypassing booths as not that compelling, or line not worth the food. I finally succumbed to the carrot cake w warm cream cheese frosting
Mon, 19:12: Split a schinkennudeln in Germany. Excellent.

Sat, 12:12: Stopped at Guest Relations, confirmed that the system failed to register us entering the park last night. Had to show photos to prove entry
Sat, 12:13: Pass holders who come to Food and Wine 3 days get a gift, thus the desire to show each entry.
Sat, 12:14: Headed back to GF, against the tide of many Festival goers on the last weekend. It will be crowded all day and evening.
Sat, 17:22: We both worked a while in our room, now off to Disney Springs by bus
Sat, 17:28: Nice conversation on bus with other Pokémon Go players.
Sat, 18:16: K found another battery pack for her phone, and we've made a Pin Traders stop
Sat, 18:20: Disney Springs is totally into Christmas--Santa is here, decor, etc. guess they are prepped for the Thanksgiving crowds.
Sat, 18:23: Springs are crowded. Don't know if all these people are buying enough to keep all the new restaurants and stores happy, but bodies are here

Fri, 16:24: Another Disney trip! I'm at WDW, just checked into the Grand Floridian and Krissi and I are off to Epcot for the Rockin Burger Block Party
Fri, 16:25: Tweeting will be sporadic due to heavy use of phone for Pokémon Go. :)
Fri, 17:02: Monorail fr GF to Epcot is nice if connections are close (they were) though you do have to go down and back up to change lines at the TTC
Fri, 17:08: K has to pick up her new Annual Pass so we're in the ticket line.
Fri, 17:10: Catch up: I drove down yesterday, spent the night in a Disney Springs area hotel. Picked up Krissi at the airport this morning.
Fri, 17:11: Went from airport to Kissimmee Lakefront Park, *the* Pokémon hotspot in Orlando. That was great, lots of Pokestops, several lured constantly
Fri, 17:14: Big lines to get in--last weekend of Food and Wine, Veterans Day holiday, Epcot is slammed.
Fri, 17:17: Last nights dinner--the chicken and sugar doughnuts at Art Smiths Homecoming in the Springs, eaten at the bar. https://t.co/icrrOOX4jd
Fri, 18:19: We have checked in for the burger party early, are first in the "reserved seating" second tier line. Are sitting on floor perusing the menu.
Fri, 18:20: The party is in same bldg as the pin event, World Showplace. Big barn of a place. Will be 5 food stations, all have a signature burger.

Thu, 18:32: TV commercial filming in Downtown Disney, disrupting traffic flow a bit. Lots of cast members directing us to the open path.
Thu, 19:10: Into Disneyland, decided to do the DL PinQuest since I did WDW one. Supposed to be a sort of scavenger hunt across the park, buying pins.
Thu, 19:11: CM at Music Store let me buy the entire set at once. I promised to go solve the clues over my weekend. :)
Thu, 19:15: The Pokemon/Disney conflict. Am standing under the music teachers window enjoying atmosphere, can't move on cause of the 2 lured Pokestops

Mon, 08:34: Radio silence yesterday was due to a very busy day. Breakfast was leisurely, Captains Grille in Yacht Club side of resort.
Mon, 08:35: Captains Grille--neither of us had chocolate waffles, surprisingly. Personal electronics time was consumed by Pokemon Go, thus no tweets.
Mon, 08:39: After breakfast we loaded up all our pins in my car and drove to the B Resort in Disney Springs hotel cluster for PinCon World pin event.
Mon, 08:44: PinCon was organized by the group behind https://t.co/uP77cPpfPu, a group-sourced database of Disney pins. Other pin-trading groups helped.
Mon, 08:49: Basically PinCon was a large room of tables. Sections set off for sponsorship level, meaning registration fee amt. We were silver.
Mon, 08:54: PinCon 'sponsors' got a 4-ft table space to set out pins and trade. Other activities also: pin boards like the Disney event, raffles, games
Mon, 08:57: We spread out pins side by side, also near table for Debbie and Larry, the eBay sellers we met Sat. and had planned more trades with.
Mon, 09:00: Our friend Mark came in later and grabbed space on the table behind us. K had a big pin trade going w Mark who had set aside stuff for her
Mon, 09:02: PinCon then became like manning an exhibit at a busy convention--constant flow of people looking at our pins, showing theirs, negotiating.
Mon, 09:04: We both had wanted to wander the room and look for certain pins we want, but never found a break. Did do the trades w Mark, Debbie & Larry

Sat, 14:50: Lines are shorter and moving better this afternoon as people finish using their tabs.
Sat, 15:00: More trading in line, I traded an Artist Proof pin from the boards for a 20,000 Leagues pin, had a Hidden Mickey someone wanted, etc
Sat, 15:04: We're staying in line with Mark who we met last year, and Carol and Rocky and their grown son David. Nice chatting with friends.
Sat, 15:05: Almost to the head of line for our last trades. Hopefully they will change the boards soon.
Sat, 18:31: After our last boards, headed into the back room trading area, the "shark tank". Avoided the sharks by using Shannon as a guide.
Sat, 18:33: Did another large trade with Debbie, a back room trader, mixing pins from me and K. K traded her complete set of small world pins.

Sat, 18:47: Said goodbye to some folks, will see others tomorrow at the non-Disney PinCon World trading event at a Disney Springs hotel.
Sat, 18:52: Back to hotel in post-thunderstorm humidity. Now taking the bus to Animal Kingdom to do a twilight safari ride.
Sat, 18:53: We've decided the Pokemon for this trip is the Magikarp, a fish on its side, gasping. Probably due to Fla. humidity https://t.co/qTFiHcLvsZ

Fri, 14:13: Update.... stayed in the line with 2 boards and are maybe 30 minutes from using our third tab. We take turns on break, ate bag lunch in line
Fri, 14:15: Have gotten our "board pins", which no longer have to be collected on the boards. 6 pin set themed to Finding Dory.
Fri, 17:17: We were down to our last tabs, waited in the hour and a half line, finally got to front, and the board was recently refreshed. And...
Fri, 17:26: ...cont. Both K and I found our last tabs had fallen off our lanyard cards. Searching around didn't turn them up, so we told the CM and left
Fri, 17:30: A guy we'd traded with in line gave me a tab he wasn't going to use, K went to check out the upcoming pins on display and wait on trivia.
Fri, 17:35: Switched to a game w a quicker line which then didn't move. Jumped to line next door, got to pick from 2 cork circle boards. Nothing good.
Fri, 17:38: Krissi's trivia game is on. 15 people seated facing us. It's the end of the day, hosts are having to select people to fill in for no-shows
Fri, 17:38: Questions in earlier round were very tough!
Fri, 17:45: Q1 tough, took third person to get it. Second easy, third hard--but I knew it! K got a shot at 4, no one got it correct. Not an easy game.
Fri, 17:55: K knew several but didn't get in time. Good game.

Thu, 14:41: Got our preordered merchandise and moved into the trading room. No confusion with the other Nancy Barber this year.
Thu, 15:22: Met up with Carol and Rocky and their son David. I brought them a couple of DL sets in return for Xmas pins last year.
Thu, 15:24: Grabbed the end of a trading table where S and her friend Torie were set up, got some multi person trading going.
Thu, 15:26: S found someone who wanted almost every one of my Pixar alphabets, reg. and chaser--26 pins. I'll look in her and Torie's stuff to balance.
Thu, 15:29: Left Coronado Springs close to 3, back to Beach Club to dump pin stuff. Grabbed snack of house made chips, lavash, hummus in lounge.
Thu, 16:08: Off to Magic Kingdom by bus. Bus sign says "My other bus is a magic carpet".
Thu, 17:04: After some back and forth, found store with Pin Quest starter, solved first clue, off to Storybook Circus.
Thu, 17:05: Emerged fr store in time for flag retreat.
Thu, 17:33: Pretty hot today too, but a little less humid than yesterday. Made it to Circus and did next stage of Pin Quest.
Thu, 17:34: Skipped our Mine Train FP, K not interested and I wasn't enthusiastic enough to make her wait on me.

Wed, 14:05: Lots of ongoing prep for Food and Wine Festival, normal shortcut path to The Land was blocked. Played a little Pokemon Go as we walked.

Wed, 15:07: Asked for B concourse to avoid Soarin distortion, have now seen it with the Epcot ending instead of DL.
Wed, 15:08: New women's restroom at Soarin are greatly expanded from old, very nice.
Wed, 17:46: Back into the sauna that is WDW in August, walked across to Mouse Gear for A/C and some pin trading.
Wed, 17:48: Too hot to wander so headed back to Beach Club. No message on room so found a table near a lounge w power outlet for phones. Pokestops near!
