Thu, 17:26: I was out early for AWRA, gave my talk at the second morning session. Went well, several good questions.
Thu, 17:27: Mindi needed to talk to me, went w me to GF and we got lunch at GF Cafe, very good.
Thu, 17:29: Mindi left, found Krissi and our pin-trading friend Debbie who were hanging out and arranging a pin trade continued from August.
Thu, 17:31: We got Debbie a ticket to the Studios desert party via the GF concierge last night, so after pin trading we piled in her car for that.
Thu, 17:33: Got to Studios in good time to check in for party, which includes the Christmas projection show special viewing area.
Thu, 17:39: And the party has started, got a gingerbread martini as we entered. Snagged a sit-down table as those are limited, will take turns at food

Thu, 21:13: Projection show is OK, but a slim replacement for the Osborne Lights. Lots of screening from palm trees etc--which are really needed.
Fri, 08:18: Debbie gave us a ride back to GF. I took my car to fill it up w gas, having gotten lower than I like. Not easy to get back to GF!
Fri, 08:19: It's a beautiful morning! We're off to Trails End restaurant at Ft Wilderness. Will take monorail to MK then resort launch.
Fri, 08:24: Will meet Shannon at restaurant. Don't know if she will hang with us as we head to Epcot after or not.
Fri, 08:25: K had breakfast w Shannon yesterday too, at 1900 Park Faire character meal at GF, then they did a gingerbread pin excursion.
Fri, 09:11: I missed a change in plan--S is not having breakfast with us. She is providing a news feed on the line for D23 event shop via friends. :)
Fri, 09:14: S23 registration opens at 10, shop at 2. At 8:30 about 40 people were already in line for the shop.
Fri, 10:23: The lure of rare pins has won, and we are punting the Frozen fast passes for heading on to D23 registration and the line for the shop.
Fri, 11:15: We have been wrist-banded for the store, apparently the general "let these people in" sign. Picked up swag bag & credentials at registration
Fri, 11:19: Found room for the queue for the store. Right. And there's another queue room for people who paid $1000 extra for early shopping.

Fri, 11:22: Store will open in only 2 hours and 10 minutes, she chirps brightly.

Fri, 11:40: new design MagicBand allows the Mickey head part to be removed and put in a dangle or carried in pocket, if you don't want to wear wristband
Fri, 13:27: Lots of chatting in line on both pins and Pokémon Go. Supposed to be 30 min until store opens, but they've opened a door at head of line.
Fri, 14:03: We are in the merchandise room! In another queue, but at least this is progress.
Fri, 14:35: Process is that small groups are let into actual sales area, where there are more lines to actually get the pins. Clothing etc has no lines
Fri, 14:49: Let us in as a group of 10, and everyone move straight to the pin line.
Fri, 14:49: They'll give us a shopping bag, we go by all the pins making selections, then pay for pins. Then can shop the rest of the stuff.
