WW, week 31

I'm there! The 2-week change was -2.8, for a total of 43.2 pounds down. I'm now 0.4 pounds under my official goal weight. In the interests of full disclosure, it was probably 33 weeks, not 31, as the Sunday meeting was cancelled at least twice (for Mother's Day and July 4). There might have been another missed meeting in there, somewhere...I could go count, but I'm not gonna.
I've got a trip coming up that's a combination of pleasure and business--I leave Friday, will spend the weekend with friends in Cincinnati, OH, then have a committee meeting in Columbus the following week. As I'd really like to lose another couple of pounds for a buffer zone, I'm thinking I'll try to stay at my current point target for the duration of the trip at least. I'll start the process WW recommends for determining my maintenance calorie intake after losing those additional 2 pounds. And of course the trip could well make me edge up a little, especially the weekend with friends.

Have a great trip!

Date: 2004-07-12 03:26 pm (UTC)Both the friends and most of the co-workers that'll be at the committee meeting will not have seen me since before I started. For the friends, I see David once a year when he's in Atlanta for a meeting--that was last fall. Haven't seen Sue (or the kids) since they made a family trip through Atlanta in...geez, was it 1999? These are people I keep up with via Christmas letters, basically.
The committee meets once a year, too, and the last meeting was last August in Carson City, NV. I saw one person of the group in April, but the rest of them will (maybe) be amazed. :)
I've decided the world is divided into those who Notice changes in personal appearance, and those who Don't Notice. I have to admit that I'm generally a Don't Notice, myself--you can cut your hair, start/stop wearing glasses, lose or gain weight, but I sometimes have to be hit with a 2x4 before I'll do more than vaguely wonder to myself "Has something changed?" This tendency to Not Notice almost certainly accounts for my poor ability to remember faces.
