Today's progress

The support beam is in, and the old load-bearing wall is gone. As is the former hall door to the garage, now blocked up. And as is the utility room door to the garage--they left it a gaping opening at the end of the day, door and casing removed. I don't know if they will re-use the casing, turning it around for the new door orientation, or if they will build a new one. I do hope there's some sort of door there by tomorrow night.

I hung a lightweight piece of plastic over the opening for tonight, for bug control and a little help with air conditioning. Fish is also helping with bug control.

I want to inspect the support beam in detail tomorrow--too tired tonight. Must take pictures, too...
