Trying to catch up

A week out of town, with lots of evening activity, plays heck with keeping up with my lists and LJ. Started serious work on the backlog today, but I'm a long way from being current.

I've been reading the Bujold list by subject, mostly--got through all the variations on the Elli posts, except for one that starts with a 10k post by you-know-who, with a 17k one from her later. And the Heyer/Lee and Miller threads. Also covered a number of shorter threads, but the huge "Repellent characters" is yet to come. Haven't read hardly anything on piffle or LordPeter for more than a week, and LP has changed books in that time. Haven't read much on Heyer for nearly a month because I dislike the July book--I need to either skim or just delete, then catch up with the August book. Which I need to re-read, as I don't remember it well.

I've pursued LJ back to skip=140, and that's as far as I can go. There will be too much new tomorrow to keep going back...

Don't feel bad. I've been skipping most of those threads sholesale (and the threads that have spun off of the "Repellent characters" one, especially the OT ones). I have more to do than read other peoples rants on characters in books I've never read by authors I have no interest in.

Tonight I logged in, saw 11 messages, deleted the ones I wasn't interested in, and was left with three.
