For a sink?!!??

Still slowly working on the kitchen renovation shopping list, and my architect sent me some links to various sinks, faucets, and a washing machine and dryer to try and get me moving. She commented on the first sink: "Great looking sink, 16 g. Steel. Expensive."

It's $2200!! For a kitchen sink!

I think not. I don't even like the way it looks...

So it looks like you'll have everything but the kitchen sink?

I had a plumber last week to reconnect the right-hand sink to the drain. The kitchen here was renovated by my grandmother no later than 1954. She got a Sears stainless double sink with stainless drainboards on each side and steel (rusting until we sand & Rust-o-leum)cabinets underneath. I doubt she paid $100 for it. The plumber said it would be at least 5K now & custom-made. ARGGGH! Why can't *practical* things stay available???
