80/80 and exercise

Just in from a 50 minute bike ride on the lovely (flat) paved trail in Moultrie. Only problem: it's 82 degrees and 85% humidity. I started out at 9:45 am--maybe I'll try to get out before 9 tomorrow. But then it will just be even higher humidity, and probably won't feel any cooler. Biking in south Georgia in July is just not something the very part-time cycler like me can do for long.
I think my plan to ride the whole trail (seven miles--you "real" cyclists can stop sniggering now) will wait for a visit in cooler weather.

Date: 2005-07-03 02:43 pm (UTC)I went out again this morning for an hour, starting at 8:30 am. There were thundershowers overnight which served to raise the humidity without lowering the temperature much. Result: 75 degrees, 100% humidity (dewpoint was 77 dergrees). My glasses were fogging up as soon as my cheeks started to get hot, despite the breeze generated by tooling along.
But I had to do something to counteract the chicken pie I ate last night!
