Accomplishments of the day

By dint of taking the afternoon off, I have managed to:
-attend the funeral of a co-worker who died yesterday (suddenly, at age 50)
-get signs made and laminated for the neighborhood yard sale
-affix 2 pair of the above signs to sign-holders (borrowed by my sister-in-law from a former realtor who lives in the neighborhood)
-place signs at both entrances to the neighborhood
-make oatmeal-walnut soda bread, which got carried next door as a contribution toward a shared dinner
-have dinner next door (The bread was very good, by the way--an improvement over the Irish brown soda bread I made earlier in the week. I'm using up flours from my little freezer, which will be sold in the yard sale. New compact freezer will be procured after the kitchen renovation.)
-get 3 more pairs of signs affixed to sign-holders, ready to be placed at nearby intersections before I go to work in the morning
-defrost the little freezer so it's ready to sell
and the bonus...
-trim claws on all four feet for both Agatha and Fish

I wish I could make the yard sale! But we're reprising the MLK Mass this weekend, and have to spend all Saturday afternoon in rehearsal.

It starts at 8. <g> (And I groan, as this means I'll be moving about 6:30 to get the sausage biscuits for the bake sale done, put up the tent, arrange my yard sale stuff down the driveway, etc., etc.)

I was sorry to miss the Celtic Celebration, but was in the miseries of a cold. Hope the reprise of the Mass goes well. Do you think The Dress will also be reprised? Or, dare I hope, do you think she has something Even Better?

The Dress? You mean the Lizgown? I was hoping to do some 19th century this year, but what with concerts and puppets and gardens, I'm not sure what I'll have time for. :) Also, I got completely stuck on the stay pattern a while back, and haven't yet returned to it. So we shall see...

Ooooh...No, we're using our own solists this time, thank god. Yes, that dress was BAD, wasn't it? Like a flying lemon meringue pie.

Have you been hanging around with my husband lately? He says that sleep is overrated [especially when he's snoring], & you act like it.
