Tuckerized!

I've been Tuckerized! I got an email from Michael Bernardi this morning asking if that hairdresser in Mercedes Lackey's Phoenix and Ashes was me. I hadn't bought the book yet, and as she had posted on Baen's Bar that she ended up not using a number of the names that were offered for Tuckerizing, I was in no hurry. (Lackey's sometimes a hardback buy--that's rare with her later stuff, sometimes book club, and sometimes wait for the mass market. And a few I've never bought or read.)

Guess I'd better go buy a copy now...

I charitably assume that she was harking back to the days of people being named by their profession. Maybe the book will have some reference to an unbroken line of barbers named Barber....or maybe not. <g>

Well, now *there*'s a good reason to rush out and acquire said book. Himself will be impressed too; I don't think he's ever known someone in a book before. :)
