  • Sun, 14:24: Not up quite so early today, and made mistake of going to GC entrance to DCA for early entry--line too long, doubled back to main gate.
  • Sun, 14:26: Still relatively few Cast Member welcomes out, and fewer w lanyards. Did get a couple with villain tie pins. Now in long line for RS Racers
  • Sun, 14:47: Live and learn: be at the head of the early entry crowd or don't ride RSR with that hour. I think I'll be done about at 8
  • Sun, 15:21: Yep, off RSR at 8--while I was in reg standby line, single rider opened. Probably better to hang around for that and skip long standby.
  • Sun, 15:22: RSR is cool in daylight, too. Got Ramon's (paint shop) last night, Luigi's (tires) today.
  • Sun, 15:24: Red was out for photo op--Red waves with a side mirror, and can honk a bit of Happy Birthday c http://t.co/vRHKeZCKzs
  • Sun, 16:09: 20 min excursion back to room for forgotten item, back to DCA. Ride Little Mermaid, usually skipped at WDW for better options.
  • Sun, 16:11: A fair number of DCA attractions trip my issues w height. Skipping most Paradise Pier stuff
  • Sun, 16:47: Toy Story wait posted at 40 min and looks longer...skipping. This is becoming a FP or very short wait attraction for me. No FP for it in DCA
  • Sun, 16:48: Wandered through a few stores and over to Hollywoodland for the California version of Frozen sing-a-long.
  • Sun, 16:52: Nice theming in theatre for Frozen. I haven't seen new WDW version yet, hope it looks this good.
  • Sun, 16:53: Central screen projection very sharp, much better than WDW multiple smaller screens. http://t.co/un3J1Gu9wM
  • Sun, 18:03: Frozen sing a long patter similar to WDW, but w guy historian as an apprentice. I prefer WDW--generally Cast Members better at delivery
  • Sun, 18:04: Taking a short ride on Red Car Trolley.
  • Mon, 00:12: Lunch @ Pacific Wharf Cafe, turkey club w pesto aioli, sourdough baguette. Pretty good--crusty bread not optimal for sandwiches
  • Mon, 00:13: Then headed to room to work a bit, but ended up napping an hour first. Reviewed a couple of things, sent off one set of comments.
  • Mon, 00:16: Emerged fr room for hotel pin trading, 2 CMs and board. I did get one mystery set pin fr Diamond pouch. Nice trading among guests this time.
  • Mon, 00:31: Again walked to GC for pin trading there, accepted a few fake pins from kids who wanted to trade for my WDW cast lanyard stuff.
  • Mon, 00:34: Not much point in telling the 10 year old her "LE" Cars pin in an obvious counterfeit.
  • Mon, 00:36: Headed to DL, have a 6:40 reservation at River Belle Terrace for Fantasmic dinner package. Arrived in time for Flag Retreat ceremony.
  • Mon, 01:33: Wandered a bit in the Emporium, then off to Adventureland to try single rider line at Indiana Jones
  • Mon, 01:42: Indiana Jones is same ride vehicle as Dinosaur in WDW, but so superior in theme. And with Indiana Jones music, too!
  • Mon, 01:44: Single rider at Indy: Go up exit to a stop. Moved across reg queue to holding area. Moved in group of 10 to second holding area. Cont..
  • Mon, 01:47: Cont.. Same group sent to elevator up, across, down in second elevator where reg queue takes stairs. Finally in holding area for load.
  • Mon, 01:57: Seated at River Belle Terrace, starting w corn chowder http://t.co/EA3ochTDPx
  • Mon, 01:59: Rolls are uninspired, reminiscent of elementary school rolls.
  • Mon, 02:02: At restaurant checkin saw woman who'd been in Carthay Circle viewing area last night. She's also a WDW regular, 6+ times/yr, from Delaware
  • Mon, 02:03: So, my Disney addiction is mild compared to some!
  • Mon, 02:24: Had to beg for steak not cooked medium, they sort of managed. Very much a mass cooked meal. Veg over salted. http://t.co/QqPLjyrQQK
  • Mon, 02:40: Walking up Main St at 5:35 or so, half the curbs were filled w people waiting for Paint the Night parade @ 9. All curbs at Hub filled
  • Mon, 03:12: Got in line for Fantasmic early, not enough time to do anything else. We are front and center, seated on pavement. http://t.co/b38XkZWQxp
  • Mon, 03:33: My body is not happy at sitting on pavement for 30 min--and the show doesn't start for another 30. Am standing for now, until told to sit.
  • Mon, 05:20: DL Fantasmic is just....wow. WDW version has a few pale echoes of the real thing.
  • Mon, 05:23: Stayed there Disneyland Forever fireworks. Worked well--projections are on the water screens, more distant bursts directly behind.
  • Mon, 05:25: Fireworks: ones closer to castle are off to left. Get glimpses of Tink and Nemo flights through trees. Will try for a hub view tomorrow
  • Mon, 05:26: Started to walk out w post fireworks crowd, reversed and went to Tomorrowland monorail station to ride to Downtown Disney.
  • Mon, 06:26: Stopped at Pin kiosk for "trip set" pins--DL Hotel pin, attractions I did for first time (Radiator Spr Racers, junkyard jamboree, Fantasmic)
  • Mon, 06:27: Also bought 2 LE attraction pins for Diamond Anniversary, carousel and Storybookland.
  • Mon, 06:27: FitBit report: 24,193 steps, 10.44 miles.
