Why do I bother?

I spread an old sheet over the dry-clean-only comforter to try to limit the amount of cat hair that gets on it, and thus extend the cleaning cycle. (Yes, it was a mistake--I need to find a light duvet and washable covers, because a washable comforter is too big for my washing machine anyway. I do like the colors on this one, though...)
Fred occasionally decides that she *must* sleep directly on the comforter. When she does, a mere sheet is no obstacle...

Date: 2010-05-17 12:04 am (UTC)Do they have comforters with covers in not-down? The one time I went looking, all the comforters/duvets designed for covers were high end, and looked prodigiously warm. I figured there was a minuscule amount of time I'd want anything that heavy on my bed (the next big ice storm when the heat goes out, maybe), and I really want an all-season solution.
The logical thing to do is go measure the current comforter and see if I can find covers for it. It's a good weight for my purposes...
