Minor symptom of State budget problems

I had seen the articles about how the new license plates for Georgia automobiles wouldn't be issued this year because of the State budget crisis, but that was supposed to apply only to the "regular" plate. I have a wildflower plate, so mine was to be replaced.

License plates expire on your birthday, so I dutifully sent off the check and the renewal form several weeks ago. And my new plate arrived: it's a 90-day temporary "tag", made of paper. Guess that budget crisis is a little worse than they thought...
