Met with a designer on Friday about renovating the kitchen...more on this later.

Made it to Weight Watchers after that, and the discussion started on preparing for Thanksgiving. Lots of good things to think about, there. Prepare for the stress, as well as for the food...

Saturday began with an extra-long Jazzercise class. I came home and baked brownies in pie dishes as the base of brownie ice-cream pie for the elder niece's birthday party, then headed outside to enjoy the beautiful weather with some garden work. Got another short section of the path from my shed to the house done. Now must figure out how much (and how) to angle the next set of pavers to adjust for the offset and angle between shed and walk. Back inside to shower, then put the ice cream (mint chocolate chip) on the brownies and drizzled the top with fudge sauce and caramel sauce. Quite impressive looking results, I must say. Though I forgot to take a picture.

This morning I was starting a leisurely breakfast when my father called. He wanted me and my brother to take another look at a list of suggested stocks to sell, and see if we'd change any of the decisions. And he wanted this before the stockbroker calls him on Monday or Tuesday. So (after finishing breakfast), I called my brother, printed out a Value Line report, and we went through the list again and made some notes. Then it was time to grab lunch, dash to the Farmer's Market (I was out of Almondina cookies, which is Not OK), and then get the brownie ice-cream pies, and head to the park where the birthday party was underway. The ice-cream pie was a hit among kids and parents, if I do say so.

And that was it. Must shut down and get to bed, as I have to be in the office at 8 (it's usually more like 10 when I arrive) for a "writing project proposals" training course. Ugh.
