My tweets

  • Sat, 13:56: @Disneyland Hotel, those bath towels are nice and big, but thin. Time for a linen refresh, esp at that price point.
  • Sat, 13:58: Joined the stream of people from hotels to early opening at DL. Got in line at 6:53, maybe 30 people in lines ahead of me.
  • Sat, 13:58: Park is open, couldn't hear anything but the countdown of the little pre opening greeting.
  • Sat, 14:09: I am among many who headed to Peter Pan first thing.
  • Sat, 14:21: Huh. Didn't remember the DL Peter Pan stops car for loading and I assume unloading. Takes that stress of getting into moving car away.
  • Sat, 14:22: Wonder if WDW loading is faster overall? Still have to stop for disabled. No matter, its slow loading, thus high priority for riding early.
  • Sat, 14:24: Baby behind me thinks my backpack zipper pulls are fascinating. Told his mom to just let him keep playing.
  • Sat, 14:37: Peter Pan looks wonderful w new projections and spruced up sets. Does WDW have that many dips and swoops in the track?
  • Sat, 14:37: On to Mr Toads Wild Ride.
  • Sat, 14:43: Continue w classic dark rides--Pinnochio is next
  • Sat, 14:52: And on to Alice in Wonderland. May also have to do teacups for the open sky experience. Park will open to public soon and lines will build
  • Sat, 15:12: And because I'm here and the line is short (and it's not a WDW ride), Storybookland Canal Boats.
  • Sat, 15:34: Time for breakfast, and no line at Jolly Holiday Bakery. Egg, bacon, cheese croissant, and shady spot on the patio. http://t.co/5LO8OdNcEF
  • Sat, 15:54: I'm spoiled by ubiquitous WiFi at WDW. None in DL apparently, and I couldn't get a signal in my DL hotel room last night.
  • Sat, 16:17: Fed, better caffeinated, feet rested, and off to Frontierland.
  • Sat, 16:18: Nice chat w Cast Members in Frontierland store on Pixar movie credit clips. And cats. And dogs.
  • Sat, 16:40: Pin trading: not many cast w lanyards. Just checked three small boards in Frontierland store w no luck (but nice chats w cast members).
  • Sat, 16:43: Talked w Westward Ho folks on Ks list--some were wristband-level, some just gone or out of stock. I'll cruise a bit more before first buy.
  • Sat, 17:31: Big Thunder Mtn was an almost walk-on. Not sure I have a pick between DL and WDW here. DL is fresher, nice explosion effect.
  • Sat, 17:32: Perched at City Hall to tweet and contemplate what's next, and here comes the All American Band!
  • Sat, 17:47: http://t.co/9ElxlTYcBT
  • Sat, 17:54: Time to switch parks--got a lunch reservation at Carthay Circle for the Fantasmic dinner package.
  • Sat, 18:48: Lost count exactly, but it's about 120 steps from DL to DCA.
  • Sat, 18:53: Stopped at store on left of Buena Vista st for pin stuff, bought most of available items fr Ks list there.
  • Sat, 18:55: Obligatory 'great cast member' story--she worked over my list, called over to Elias & Co about starter set, walked over to verify it. Cont..
  • Sat, 18:58: Cont..That was last one in stock, so put it on hold, came back and completed my transaction, walked me over to correct register at Elias&Co.
  • Sat, 20:34: After big pin purchase I headed to lunch reservation @ Carthay Circle. World of Color package is appetizer/entree/dessert fr limited list.
  • Sat, 20:45: Carthay Circle: tomato soup w chicken, "accented w" chorizo. No real chorizo bits, but good flavor. http://t.co/KJkgvFETKj
  • Sat, 20:47: Carthay Circle: open face short rib sandwich w arugula & Parmesan, lightly pickled beg, unexciting fries http://t.co/zx62l1S98p
  • Sat, 20:48: Carthay Circle: creme brûlée in an odd financier shaped crust, blueberries w stems. (Extra fiber?) http://t.co/a6ieOxX3ho
  • Sat, 20:59: Waddled away fr Carthay Circle w FastPass for 9 pm World of Color. Wandered through Carsland, grabbed FP for Radiator Springs Racers 9:10 pm
  • Sat, 21:00: Headed back to hotel for a break and do some review for next weeks mtg. Cut thru Grand Calif Hotel, got mildly lost picking right corridors
  • Sat, 21:02: Pin trading: no lanyards in GC. Rumored pin boards at Valet & Guest Services, no to chalet, GS was busy so I declined to wait.
  • Sat, 21:03: All hotels supposed to have lobby pin trading w a board and CM lanyards 4:15-4:45 daily. Will try that today if I get some work done.
  • Sat, 21:54: Another reason to be glad I'm in Disneyland: DeKalb Co is under a boil water advisory. http://t.co/hNwWZujs3F
  • Sat, 23:46: Checked out hotel pin trading sessions at DLH and GC. DLH pretty sad, board w 3 CMs, tired pins. GC better, 7 or so CMs and a few new pins.
  • Sat, 23:47: Also checked GC's Guest Services small board but no luck for my wish list.
  • Sun, 00:21: Soarin Over California--single rider is blended w FastPass, am in the loading bin after 18 min. Maybe 45 min in reg standby.
  • Sun, 00:32: It's just better to see Soarin in California, not to mention without all the dirty spots on the Epcot print.
  • Sun, 01:05: Wandered in Grizzly Peak and into Buena VistA St, shopped some in Elias & Co. Now in line for 6:20 Aladdin stage show.
  • Sun, 01:20: Got what should be a great seat for Aladdin--front row of back orchestra, on left aisle of center.
  • Sun, 02:31: The Genie was really rockin'--loads of contemporary references from Baymax, Harry Potter, celebrities, Facebook memes, and on. Great show
  • Sun, 02:41: OK, have eaten a DL churro. Like Mickey ice cream bars, I think you have to imprint on these early to consider them fabulous treats. :)
  • Sun, 02:43: In line for Mater's Junkyard Jamborees, a sort of riff on the classic teacups, but in mini tractors.
  • Sun, 03:13: Found my area for World of Color, and found a seat on a step that will hopefully give me A bit of height for the show, when everyone stands
  • Sun, 03:17: View at the moment--still 45 min before show. I suspect this area will fill in a lot with Carthay Circle diners. http://t.co/XVanG0429E
  • Sun, 03:32: They've hauled a screen over the center of the Fun Wheel--that's new for this show. Now have projected Mickey on it. http://t.co/4YIHKhS41M
  • Sun, 04:38: World of Color Celebrate is great--don't recall the other one that well, but I wouldn't say his one is way ahead of it. Still impressive!
  • Sun, 04:41: My FP for Radiator Springs Racers is in, my first ride on it will be at night.
  • Sun, 05:29: Oh, I like Radiator Springs Racers. First part of scenic landscape is beautiful at night, indoor part is fine, actual race a thrill.
  • Sun, 05:34: Headed back to DL Hotel, cutting thru Grand Californian to save a few steps. Speaking of, FitBit count is 20,387 steps, 8.65 miles.
  • Sun, 05:37: Yesterday FitBit count= 14,198 steps, 5.96 miles. Despite 3 hr addition with time zone crossing, I was on a plane and in a car a good bit
  • Sun, 06:00: Hard to show the scale of World of Color. Second is center part only, jets hiding over half of Fun Wheel. http://t.co/cdoyaQj8pX
