Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Thanks for all the happy birthdays--it was a very pleasant one, despite the two conference calls during the day. I managed to almost finish off a work task that's been hanging over me for close to a year, and left on time. Went off to Jazzercise, and then home to put back on those expended calories. My birthday dinner treat was barbecued baby back ribs (grilled on the weekend, reheated), brussels sprouts, collard greens with pear relish, and fresh peach shortcake with whipped cream. Maybe I used up a few more calories hand-whipping the cream...or maybe not. Don't care at this point!

My sister-in-law left a present (they're still in Nassau)--a lovely framed pair of pictures of the nieces and nephew, the top pose with the girls looking down at their brother, and the bottom one with all three looking at the camera. Really nice juxtaposition of shots.
