Denver again
Jun. 5th, 2005 12:33 pmI'm in Denver for another week of database testing. This time I came out yesterday (Saturday), met up with some friends, and we'll be going to Coors Field for the Rockies vs. the Cincinnati Reds this afternoon. Looks to be lovely after nasty chilly weather yesterday--today it's perfectly clear and the high should be 75 or so. I'm still debating whether to wear shorts or not.
One of the friends is J., who had a major heart attack last January. It's his first time back at work--he's been checking in via email and phone, but hasn't gone into his home office yet. Took a note from his doctor before his office would agree to process his travel authorization. (His office is in Trenton, NJ, but he's been convalescing in Baltimore where his wife works and they have an apartment.) It's great to see him, as it's rather miraculous that he's even alive much less feeling up to traveling and ready to do some work. We'll all have to try not to hover too much this week.
