Kitchen remodeling, finally

When last I posted on the subject, I had met with an architect (well, designer with architecture training--I'm not sure she's a full architect) to start the process. Well, we agreed on a contract and I sent her a retainer, but she didn't get started until January. She's now finished the as-built drawings of the parts of the house that will be affected, and we're meeting tomorrow for what she calls the "programming meeting". I gather this is a little more concrete discussion of what I want to do than we covered in the initial talks.
