In which I procure (more) drugs

The cold from Portland morphed into a sinus infection this week. My level of misery seems more tied to the amount of sleep I got the night before--yesterday wasn't bad, and I actually went into the office and stayed most of the day. (I have a private office, so the only exposure of co-workers to my germs was on bathroom forays.) Today, not so good, after a night interrupted many times by coughing. Based on the lack of overall improvement under treatment with over-the-counter stuff for the symptoms, I called and got an appointment with my internist.

I now have an antibiotic (doxycycline), a capsule for coughs (Tessalon Perle, or benzonatate), and a codeine-containing syrup for when the capsule doesn't do it. Here's hoping this will let me sleep better tonight.
