I've always called my mother Mother, although at least one of my older sisters calls her mom. And my nieces and nephews always called them Grandmother and Granddaddy, to differentiate them from their paternal grandparents, who were all Grandma and Grandpa. I have a good friend whose grandchildren call her Granny, too. I guess it's all in what you get used to [g].

Feline attention can be a wonderful thing. I hope your life settles down soon so that you don't have to be away from them so much.
