The icon's a bluebird (picture stolen from somewhere). The brown thrasher is brown on top, speckled below, and has a long tail: http://www.netstate.com/states/symb/birds/ga_brown_thrasher.htm.

It's also, if you see it with other birds, fairly large for a songbird type--not up to crow size or anything, but in the range with the blue jay.
