Same with me. I used to try to keep two spots at the table open, but now I only get around to that when my sister is home from college. If she's not here, her place gets covered quickly with Stuff. Of course, one of the reasons for keeping a place open it that the cats need a place to read the newspaper. They read by osmosis through their fur you know, and thus need a place where they can lie down on their reading material.
